Literally the best Mexican food around. We come here at least once a week. Staff is very friendly, and very caring. Their tamales are delicious. And they never slack on refilling your drinks and making sure you're okay. Best place, hands down.
Absolute five stars for this place. It's a family-owned small mexican restaurant in a small town. Great prices, very good food, fast service, and kind wait staff. So far this is also the best restaurant I've been to in Bay Minette by a long shot. The guacamole is almost crunchy with vegetables. The salsa is decent but not life-changing, and the #28 chicken with chorizo is darn good. Does this place measure up to somewhere like Cafe Ixcateco? Maybe not. Is it the best sit-down full service Mexican spot in Baldwin county? Absolutely.
Los Patrones in Bay Minette, AL, has prompt and courteous service, an extensive menu, good portion sizes, and delicious food. Salsa and food always taste fresh and items are seasoned well without being overbearing. They keep your beverage glass full and check on you without being intrusive. Excellent food and service!
Tucked away in the shopping center behind Wendy's, this place was a great find as we drove through Bay Minette and needed to stop for lunch. As I walked in, I noticed that their health score is 99. That's impressive. We were greeted kindly and sat in a booth. Our server was very attentive and immediately brought chips and salsa. The chips were warm and the salsa was tasty (not too spicy). I ordered the steak quesadilla with rice and beans. My wife ordered the taco, enchilada plate. It came with rice and beans. My daughter ordered the cheese quesadilla. The steak in my quesadilla had a sort of soy sauce flavor, but it was good. My daughter's cheese quesadilla was so packed with cheese that she could only eat 3/4 of it. She said she wished she had ordered a chicken quesadilla instead. My wife liked everything on her plate. We were definitely happy that we stopped at this little place instead of settling for fast food.
Great spot with great staff to grab a good Mexican meal. Clean and good location. Very accommodating for our EMS crews when on duty. Lunch specials as well. Only thing I didn't like was the copious amounts of onions for my fajitas. Seems I had more onions than anything else. But good flavor!
